What Is An Ablution Block?
Ablution blocks are portable bathroom facilities that can include showers, toilets, and change rooms. They may be unisex, male, female, or designed to provide accessible access to facilities for people with disabilities. Each ablution block can be configured, sized and custom manufactured to suit your site requirements. They are commonly used as temporary ablutions for events or for construction and mining sites.
Modular ablutions are designed for commercial use and are cost effective and easy to repair and maintain. They are designed to all building code standards to ensure regulatory compliance.
The choice of vanity units, porcelin/ceramic sinks, tapwear ensures each ablution is finished to the highest standard. You can style the building with your choice of Colourbond steel colours, vinyl floors, and options including hot water, towel dispensers, hand dryers, showers and bench seats in changerooms.
Temporary Ablution Block Installation
Portable ablutions provide additional facilities in a fraction of the time of a traditional build. Portable ablution blocks provide additional sanitation facilities or serve areas where facilities are not available. They are reccomended for sites where permanent builds are not feasible or where a temporary solution is desirable.
Hand hygiene and sanitation has never been more important. Extra facilities help reduce the number of staff sharing communal facilities and provides additional hand washing basins.
Portable Ablutions – Fully Relocatable
When your needs change, you can relocate your asset to a new location. Each ablution block is portable and can be safely relocated a new site Australia wide – making them perfect for temporary events and construction. Ramps or stairs can be added to suit uneven ground.
The blocks need to be connected to services such as power, sewerage and water. This can be provided by tank water and septic tank systems. Hot water can be provided by gas or electric hot water systems, powered by mains or solar power.
Disabled Ablution Block Designs
Disabled toilet blocks and ablutions are designed to specific regulatory standards for the comfort, safety and ease of access for people with a disability. They include safety features and modified facilities such as reduced height basins, lowered mirrors and accessible tapware.
Custom options include change tables, disabled showers, toilets and hand basins. The generous sized spaces and wide doorways provide space for a wheelchair and additional carers.
